Licensing of biological materials (Material Transfer Agreement, MTA)

Usually the exchange of biological materials (antibodies, cell lines, mouse lines, etc.) with other academic partners is free of charge. For commercial companies an appropriate payment is expected for a transfer of those materials.

The transfer of biological material is ruled by a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA), including appropriate payment.

Licensing of software, databases, teaching concepts

The licensing of software or access to databases / data to commercial partners is also subject to appropriate compensational payments.

INNOVECTIS advises researchers on the commercialization of biological materials, software, data or other commercially valuable know-how and negotiates corresponding agreements with companies on behalf of Goethe University.
